Portable Electric Expands Vancouver Facility to Meet Growing Market Demand

Portable Electric new office in Vancouver HQ

VANCOUVER, BC, May 18, 2023 – Portable Electric has announced the expansion of its Vancouver facility to increase production capacity to 2,000+ units in preparation for market demand. The cleantech company’s total facility size has grown to 40,000 sq ft.

The expansion comes as a response to the increasing demand for clean, off-grid power solutions across several industries. As an industry leader in the space with over 850 units in the field, Portable Electric has seen a surge in demand for its Voltstack ecosystem of portable and mobile battery energy storage systems and e-Chargers.

“We’re expanding for the second time in two years, and this is yet another significant milestone for Portable Electric,” said Keith Marett, CEO of Portable Electric. “We are thrilled to be able to increase our production capacity to meet the growing demand for our products. This expansion will not only allow us to better serve our customers and stakeholders, but also provide more job opportunities.”

The news of the expansion comes a few weeks after the company announced a landmark partnership with Volvo Construction Equipment. The facility will allow for streamlined and efficient production of Portable Electric’s mobile energy storage systems and e-Chargers.

The expanded facility is set to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2023, with Portable Electric looking to further expand with facilities in US and Europe.
