Daniel Lopez

Daniel has over 20 years of experience in product management across a wide range of technologies and sectors including industrial, telecommunications, and motion control, in addition to almost 10 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a military officer. He managed large multi-million dollar portfolios for firms such as Taymor Industries, Jet Equipment, Norsat, Microchip, and Genesis Motion Solutions, including the business cases for successfully entering new commercial verticals with brand new products. His focus areas are crafting product strategy, positioning, and value propositions for successful product launches. His leadership and mentorship talent has enabled him to grow, coach, and inspire successful product teams rich in the multidisciplinary skills needed in today’s product management ecosystem: technical product managers, business analysts, and technical marketing writers. His schooling includes Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautics) at S.A.I.T, Business Administration (Honours) at S.A.I.T, and International Economics at the University of Calgary. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys mountaineering and adventure motorcycling.
