Voltstack® 20k Powers 2021 PNE Fair

There were many factors that contributed to the success of the scaled-down version of the 2021 PNE Fair. Despite the many challenges that come with a global pandemic, the annual end-of-summer celebration still brought in 289,000 guests, including six sold-out days. Playing a major role in that success was the Voltstack® 20k e-Generator.

After supplying emission-free energy to a number of events this year, including the Vancouver Mural Fest and powering productions for the 16th annual Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon (MAMM), our Voltstack® 20k portable power station powered the 111th PNE Fair and helped it deliver on all the FUNdamentals we’ve come to know and love.

“Metro Vancouver is committed to implementing plans, policies, regulations and projects that improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It was really important that we didn’t use a generator that burned diesel gas and created emission problems,” says John Donnelly, producer of the Metro Vancouver activation at the 2021 PNE Fair. “They wanted a green solution and Portable Electric’s Voltstack® 20k portable power station was the best fit.”

John’s team rented the Voltstack® 20k portable power station for the entire duration (17 days) of the fair. “Even though it was such a big site, the unit ran 24/7. We were able to get shore power from the PNE to power the battery and we had a 60 Amp line which helped us power the entire show with the e-generator,” John says.
